Stacking bars connect a bold arch with a circle of clay stone in the center. The locally sourced earth tone clay highlights the richness of the red African soil. Towa' means 'Beautiful' in Tumbuka, the language of Northern Malawi.

A small team of skilled makers in Malawi called YEWO make each piece of jewelry by hand at their off-the-grid workshop. YEWO was created to provide sustainable employment for people who never had access to jobs in the mainstream economic sector. Each member of the team plays an important role in the creative and production processes.
