Abrazo

Abrazo Style designs products that highlight the culture and artistry of Mexico. The artisans who skillfully hand make the Abrazo apparel, accessories, and jewelry live in Oaxaca and Chiapas, two states in the southern part of the country. It begins with two weavers, a wife and husband, who use a powerless pedal loom to create nearly all of the Abrazo woven fabric. The fabric is then taken to a team of expert sewers who turn the fabric into different styles and silhouettes. Finally, a team of embroiderers work to embellish the designs with what we think is truly wearable art. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, made with techniques that have been passed down for generations.

Abrazo Style works with over one-hundred artisans who are treated with dignity and respect. As a member of the Fair Trade Federation, Abrazo Styles guarantees artisans are paid fairly and regularly, and that working environments are safe. In fact, many of the women artisans work from home or in social gatherings where they stitch by hand and share stories and skills. Abrazo Style also works to protect the earth and uses 100% natural cotton in their designs.
