All of our items are handcrafted, so slight variations in color and style may occur. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, returns can be made within 30 days for a full refund or exchange. Returned items must be in new condition with tags attached. Sales are final on face masks, foods, and clearance sale items.

In-Store Returns

Any items, whether purchased in-store or online, can be returned to our store. Original receipt or packing slip must be present for a refund. A gift receipt can be used for an exchange or store credit. Refund will be credited to the credit card or method of payment originally used.

You are responsible to pay the return shipping, but exchanges will be sent out at no extra cost. When you send your return, include the returns slip that was included in your package and/or the original packing slip with a note about the reason for your return. Once we receive your package, refunds will be credited to the original form of payment. Refunds may take up to 10 days to appear on your credit card statement. Exchanges will be sent out within 1-2 business days. Original shipping costs will not be refunded. We recommend using a trackable return as HumanKind is not responsible for lost packages.

If you received an item that was damaged in shipping, please email a photo of the item to [email protected] and we will either refund or replace the item for you.

Returns FAQ

Q. Can I return an item that was purchased at a discount? 

A. Some clearance items are not eligible for return. In these cases, there would have been signage indicating "final sale" in the shop, or in the item's online listing.


Q. Can I return an item that was purchased at full price but is now on a clearance sale?

A. As long as your return meets our criteria, we will honor the refund at the original price you paid.


Q. I am giving a gift, does the recipient need a gift receipt?

A. Yes, a gift receipt is required for all exchanges. Exchanges can be made within 30 days from the purchase date. A gift receipt cannot be used to return items for a refund. (Note: We extend this 30-day window during the holiday season.)


Q. Can I return an item because of a quality issue?

A. We do not take returns on items that have been used or worn, but we would like to know if there are quality issues with items purchased here. Please contact us if you have a complaint, and we will do our best to find a solution.


Q. I used a deal from my Rewards account to purchase an item that I am now returning. Will the reward deal be reinstated on my account?

A. No. If you return an item that was paid for in part using your rewards, your reward deal will not be reinstated on your account. Also note that transactions that have a negative balance (i.e. funds being refunded to you) will earn negative points.


Q. If I am a Rewards Member and I did not receive a paper receipt, can I still return an item?

A. Yes, if you are a Rewards Member, we can look up your transaction and see if the item qualifies for a return.
