Belart jewelry is crafted by a small group of young artisans in the Andean Region of Colombia. These talented people create jewelry from real flowers and natural resin that is eco-friendly and non-toxic. By avoiding conventional synthetic and petroleum based resins, they are able to reduce the carbon footprint of producing this jewelry. The bio-based resins they use are made from upcyceld or recycled materials that have been discarded, such as pine bark.
Belart has been working with these jewelry makers since 2015 and has helped connect them with international markets. Belart is a Vermont-based small business and is a proud member of the Fair Trade Federation, committed to providing sustainable employment and empowering vulnerable and displaced communities in Colombia.
