Flowering Hyssop Thyme is one of the endemic plants in Gaziantep, Turkey — it grows wild in the Mediterranean climate. The plants are collected and dried by local villagers. Burlap & Barrel's partners in Turkey then cut the thyme into small pieces.
The leaves are long and pointed, and the plant can reach a height of 4–15 inches. The vibrant bright purple flowers on the growing plants turn dark when dried.
