Bombolulu Workshops was founded to create employment for people in Kenya who are blind or physically disabled. They currently employ about 100 artisans who would otherwise have little chance of employment in the mainstream labor market because of their disabilities. Benefits provided to Bombolulu employees include housing, healthcare, and adult education. They envision a Kenyan community where people with disabilities are economically and socially empowered, self-reliant, and fully integrated members of their communities.
