Mira’s metal chimes are all made by a single family living in a remote village in Uttar Pradesh, India. Each family member has a role in their production. The men of the family are responsible for cutting the chimes from scrap metal, which they then shape and paint. The women then add decorative beads and bells for a finished look. We love supporting this family-run business and are reminded of their story every time we hear one of their chimes.

Mira Fair Trade, a member of the Fair Trade Federation, helps their skilled artisans in India– many of whom are women and the economically disadvantaged– obtain financial security and economic independence. They are passionate about preserving the art of traditional handcrafted goods and invest in various community projects for a long-lasting impact.
