Introducing Our New Tagline: For Global Good

After months of conversation, reflection, and collaboration, we’re proud to unveil our new tagline: For Global Good.
At HumanKind Fair Trade, every decision we make is rooted in purpose, and this one was no different. We didn’t rush it. We took our time. We asked questions. We listened closely.
We invited our staff, volunteers, board members, and community members to help us define what HumanKind truly means—both within the walls of our store in downtown San Luis Obispo and far beyond them. The result was an outpouring of thoughtful feedback and stories. People spoke about the warmth they feel walking through our doors. About discovering handmade goods that spark connection and joy. About supporting artisans and farmers who are building stronger futures for themselves and their communities.
One theme came up again and again: HumanKind is about impact. Not just where we shop, but why we shop.
That’s why we chose For Global Good.
This tagline speaks to our core mission: to create opportunity and dignity for people around the world through ethical trade. Every purchase you make at HumanKind helps support artisans, cooperatives, and producers in over 30 countries – ensuring fair wages, safe working conditions, and sustainable practices.
But “For Global Good” isn’t only about distant places. It’s about the good we do together, right here at home.
We’re a part of the San Luis Obispo community. We show up for our neighbors. We host events, partner with local nonprofits, and create space for conversations about justice, sustainability, and shared humanity. The decisions we make every day—for the planet, for people, for ethical practices—reflect our belief that good business can be a force for good in every community.
We’re excited to move forward with this new tagline not just as a slogan, but as a commitment.
Thank you for being part of our story. Thank you for choosing to shop with intention. Thank you for standing For Global Good.
