What’s your name and role at HumanKind, and how long have you been part of the team?
I’m Emy! I started volunteering at HumanKind in 2021 and am now a proud member of the board.

How would you describe your personal style or taste when it comes to fashion, home, or gifts?
My personal style is comfortably timeless, but I love a pop of color or pattern. When it comes to gifting, I like to make sure what I give will be useful in some way.

What inspires your personal style or gift-giving choices?
My style is very seasonally driven—bright colors in summer and earthy tones in autumn. Whether it’s fashion or décor, a piece has to feel right and bring joy. I’m a firm believer that your home is your sanctuary and should be filled with things that make you happy and bring peace.

What do you love most about being part of the fair trade movement?
I’ve always loved shopping, but I’ve also struggled with the ethical side of consumerism. Being part of commerce with a conscience just feels right—it allows me to enjoy beautiful things while supporting the people who make them.

What makes shopping at HumanKind different from other stores?
Shopping at HumanKind means investing in stories. Every item—whether you wear it, use it, or display it—was made with purpose. That connection makes the experience truly unique.
