This product is from Ganesh Himal Trading, a company that has been working in Nepal for over thirty years. Founded in 1984, their mission is to pay skilled artisans fair wages so that they can build the lives they want and deserve. Ganesh Himal is a member of the Fair Trade Federation and partners with hundreds of Nepali artisans.

This ceramic item was made by Association of Craft Producers (ACP), a fair trade organization working with Ganesh Himal, that provides design, marketing, management, and technical services to low income, predominantly women, Nepalese craft producers. Meera Bhatterai, founded ACP in 1984, with a vision to help women gain social mobility by creating a market where they would not be exploited. Today, women from 15 districts in Nepal have the resources and opportunity to utilize their talent as artisans, become more financially independent, and gain more credibility in their communities.
