Ganesh Himal has been working in Nepal since 1984 to bring high quality handcrafted products made by small cottage industries to retail shops in North America. The goal of Ganesh Himal is to support the work that enhance peoples lives and traditions.
The artisan group that makes these shirts is called Sadle Tailors. They are in Bhaktapur, Nepal and they create product out of sustainable materials such as hemp, no kill leather and recycled rubber inner tubes. They source all their raw material from Nepal which helps support the local economy.
The artisan that made this jacket is named Ram Bahadur, who's family has been tailoring for more than 4 centuries. Ram is 59 years old. He can not read or write, but he is a pattern master and fabric cutting master. He started his career when he was 15 learning to tailor from his father.
