In 2006, PamPeana founders met two glass artists in Ecuador. Impressed by their aesthetic and the way they used recycled window panes in their designs, a partnership was established that still exists to this day. If you’ve been into our HumanKind shop, you’ve likely seen our display of glass products featuring whimsical scenes of nature and life around California. We even had the opportunity to partner with Pampeana to create custom designs featuring San Luis Obispo landmarks! But our absolute favorites are the California Poppy nightlight and ornament. The joyful orange color and the way the light reflects off the glass will brighten any room.
PamPeana is a member of the Fair Trade Federation, which means their workers get paid a fair wage and are ensured healthy working conditions. Dedicated to uplifting Ecuadorian artisans who have limited access to education, they have made a positive impact in the lives of over 70 families. PamPeana believes that “small steps in the right direction take us further on our journey to a better world for everyone.”
